1.1 Introduction
The World War II was the prominence story of the 20th century where it had tremendous impacts on the physical, social and environmental aspects of landscape expression not confined to Malaysia context but it also affected Middle East, Europe, and Africa. The Second World War was the greatest and deadliest war in human history that brought to the ruins and leads to demand of military associated where the military area is needed for the defense and fortification from the enemy attacks.
According to Gillem, (2007), Military landscape is normalize military presence and priorities where military priorities shape emergent urban forms, visible in spatial configurations of military domesticity where it traditionally associated between the armies and places that surrounded with military influence and largely belong to the past where the physical features still remain and it still in intact even though the war, as the world faced it in 20th century is already over. Through this timeline, most of military area such as battlefield, artillery battery that consist of military organization has been abandoned and become vacant space which is reflected to the military landscape that defined what remains from this era. It is often perceived as negative heritage since the places remind about the unwanted army presence, restricted freedom, militarism, secrecy, mourning, remembrance for past military era that can be understood as military landscape.

After end of World War II, the military area is normally used for defense and fortress become the places that holds the historical values and it is resemble to the Military heritage where is defined as part of culture that holds and resembles the significant historical events, former wars and battles that associated both with armies and citizens. It is conveying the vivid of historical memories that appeared through tangible and intangible military heritage where. A military heritage places are the part of tangible cultural that can be found in the form of buildings, monuments, and artifacts while the spirits, attitudes and social values is symbolize the intangible cultural heritage that represent the military ambiance. The intangible cultural heritage means the practices, representation, expressions, knowledge and skill that associated with communities, groups and individual recognize as part of their cultural heritage that transmitted from generation to generation responses to their environment, their interaction with nature and their history and provides them with sense of identity and continuity. From this situation, military landscape seems to be as heritage assets because of it shows that Malaysia has been faced with the most heartbreak war that has been ruined and demolished the social culture, economic and topology aspect and it relevant in to preserve as heritage value Malaysia context because of it is very seldom among the society regarding reminds to something unwanted memories and most of military landscape are often completely removed from landscape and just let it left decay through the passage of time.
