detected from the changes in iris pattern and they are referred Arcus Lipoides (Arcus Senilis or Arcus Juvenilis). The Arcus senilis is a greyish arc or circle visible around the peripheral part of the cornea in older adults [10]. Lipid or cholesterol deposits causes Arcus senilis in the deep layer of the surrounding cornea and similar discoloration in the eyes of younger adults (arcus juvenilis) is often concerned with high blood cholesterol [4]. This statement claims that iris pattern can be analyzed and used as another way to detect cholesterol presence in body.

II. INTRODUCTION EYE IMAGE

Iris is a pigmented, rounded, contractile membrane of the eye, placed between the lens and cornea and with the hole filled by the pupil. Iris regulates and controls the amount of light entering the eye. According to [4], the eyes are connected and continuous with the brains Dura mater through the fibrous sheath of the optic nerves, and they are associated directly with the spinal cord and sympathetic nervous system. The optic tract extended to the thalamus area of the brain. This results to a close linkage with the hypothalamus and pituitary and pineal glands. These endocrine glands are present within the brain and are the major control and it is the processing centers for the entire body. Because of this anatomy and physiology, we can conclude the eyes are having direct interaction with the biochemical, hormonal, structural and metabolic process of the body.

In cholesterol detection process the sample of eye is important because the actual analysis is based on the feature extracted from human eyes. This extracted iris image is then used in this system to check the presence of cholesterol. Thus it is vital to segment out this part i.e. iris from the whole unnecessary part of the eye image sample. This isolation or segmentation is the process of removing the outer part of the eye i.e. outside the iris circle, to get exact iris image that useful for localization of the cholesterol or lipid. The quality of the images is very important to get the accurate result, thus the images should not have impurities that can leads to wrong location of iris area. These impurities include the light reflection, as well as angle of image acquisition.

For this project we achieve the subject or patient to get real image of eye sample, the best place to get these real eye images is at ophthalmology department since this department deal with various case of eye problem that later can be refer to Arcus Senilis problem. We capture iris images from patient eye sample for labeled dataset. In this project the sample of testing, we can use images obtained from iris database sources, which can be freely available online. Such as CASIA, UBIRIS, MMU etc.

III. HOUGH TRANSFORM

The segmentation algorithm is based on the Circular Hough transform is employed. Initially, an edge map is created by calculating the first derivatives of intensity values of an eye image and then set
