Why is healthcare Important? Healthcare is amongst one of the basic necessities required by an individual to stay fit and healthy in this world. Its vital that one maintains a healthy body because this leads to a healthier environment and a healthier environment will eventually lead to a hale and hearty nation. For an individual to reach their full potential, one should attempt to stay healthy. This can be achieved by having regular checkups, maintaining easier access to medical care if sick or injured in order to prevent further serious illnesses and by keeping a constant vision and dental examinational routine. No one contemplates to fall sick or get hurt but everyone needs medical attention at certain stage during their lives, but since the healthcare costs have recently escalated sadly not everyone can afford basic required treatment. This affects patients and the nation in the long run. US has state of the art medical care available but since the past 3 decades this country has faced a 60% price hike (The factscosts) in the healthcare sector. This forces people to either wait their injuries or illnesses, try cheaper home remedies that are noticeably not as effective, or borrow an enormous loan to pay their hospital bill. This forces them to be forever in debt which affects the quality of life and everyone surrounding the individual. Within next few years healthcare prices are expected to rise up by 7% according to the survey presented by PWC (Healthcare Growth Rate). This progression in spending is encouraged by multiple factors such as paying higher prices for medical services due to the greed for profits, Introduction of new advanced services, and practicing of unhealthy lifestyle.
Looking back into the timeline of healthcare costs, it was generally easier for the public of the US in earlier centuries to access medical care as its costs were significantly lower, this lead to people having relatively healthier bodies. Granted the medical care back then wasnt as effective compared to todays, as the quality of the current medical care is top notch but Americans suffer a more complex, puzzling and by some ideologies ineffective system compared to earlier centuries. This clearly indicates the problem started a few generations ago continuing to affect the current era.
