However the more advances technology becomes, the more it seems to control human beings. Although technology is supposed to make peoples lives easier, there are enough facts and evidence that show that technology has a lot of negative effects on human beings lives. Technology has negative impacts on how people communicate with each others, it affects peoples health, and it affects the future of the country and the government and the environment of the world.

Technology is ruining peoples life. Social isolation and loneliness is one of the negative things from technology. People especially teenagers are living virtually today, like talking on social media rather than meeting and talking face to face (Boyd 12). Misinterpreting an online feedback is a common thing especially on text messages. This might lead to depression for youths in general. As sources say, the excessive use of internet could be a warning signal for depressive tendency (Gabbat 41). Technology can also decrease the level of happiness and satisfaction in peoples life (Gabbat 42). The jealousy from what people see on social media will make people less satisfies with their own life. A researcher at Carnegie Mellon University discovered that the more people used the Web, like Facebook, the more depressed they felt. After people were introduced t social media and being online for the first time, their sense of happiness and social connectedness dropped as a function of how often they used the Internet.

Technology is making the world a more dangerous one. With the use of technology, the world is intricately connected. However this interconnectedness can empower people to launch cyberattacks on the government (Wittes 11). Technology is increasingly cheap and widely available, that can help empower the masses and weaken central governments (Wittes 11).Advances in technology and robotics means that more people have access to potentially dangerous technologies (Wittes 10). For that many people are expecting that technology and robots will rule the world in the future and this is not a positive thing. If this prediction happened, the government will not have the power to protect its citizens due to the threat from the technology abuse. The future of violence would lake of privacy and security among nations (Wittes 9).

Technology has a huge negative impact of peoples health. The harmful radiation emitted from cell phones can increase the risk of cancer, genetic damage, and many other diseases. Cell phones give off a form of energy known as radiofrequency waves (Wittes 9). As the Danish cohort study proved, the radiation emitted from cell phones cause many damages for the health. Straining and hurting the eyes and spine are other health problems from technology. Moreover, it was proven that technology can make anxiety and mess peoples sleep and make them stress. In a recent study, the Mobile Mindset study, it was shown that seventy three percent of social media users panic if their cellphones were unaccusable. Finally, technology plays with the brain and changes it to be more addicted (Wittes 9).
