The purpose of a Healthy Communicative Relationship moral theory, 500 words essay example

Essay Topic:relationship,purpose

Two human parties are having a conversation with opposing viewpoints. These parties can be individuals, communities, or on the larger scale, countries. Ideally, both parties would choose to have a Healthy Communicative Relationship, meaning neither side would dismiss the other in any judgmental or demoralizing manner. Each side would listen respectfully to the others platform, and if not agreeable would counter with their own opinion about the topic. Both sides would strive to achieve an agreeable understanding. If one cannot be achieved, it still is the moral obligation of both parties to conclude the conversation with maintaining a Healthy Communicative Relationship. This type of conclusion would eliminate perceptions of defeat, feelings of anger, inferiority or superiority that may normally be left lingering between the parties.

Listening effectively will eliminate miscommunication which otherwise would cause a breakdown in the relationship leading to frustration and irritation.

Still using the open floor approach, both parties should work on putting the speaker at ease with an open heart. Humans should morally hold themselves accountable to look at issues from the opposing parties perspective. Let go of preconceived ideas by having an open mind, therefore allowing empathetic connection with the speaker. If a listener has a disagreeable perspective, then politely wait in order to respect the speakers needs and concerns. Once the speaker has concluded, the listener can now counter communicate while still exuberating verbally and nonverbally with the already established empathetic connection. This can be achieved by being openly candid, asserting opinions respectfully, and by treating the listener with empathy. Each party involved has to be deliberate with the open floor a
