By using VEP, there are some components that can be assessed such as amplitude, latency and reaction time. Firstly is amplitude which defined as the amount of electrical energy reaching the visual cortex in microvolts (muv). The result of increasing and decreasing of amplitude is usually depends on the ability of a person to discriminate between different sized stimulus. For example, the patient that has problem seeing the stimulus will evoke smaller electrical response and then create smaller amplitudes compared to others. Secondly, is latency which indicates the time the electrical signal takes to travel from the retina to the visual cortex in milliseconds (ms). It can reveal the issues affecting vision if it takes more time for the electrical signals to reach the visual cortex. Lastly is reaction time, which known as a measure of how quickly hand or body can respond to a particular stimulus that measured in milliseconds (ms). It is known that the combination of amplitude and latency in the result will give good result in determining health of the visual pathway.
1.2 Problem Statement
Visual performance of athletes is very important to identify people who may have problem inability of their eyes to maintain visuomotor processing that can be assessed by assessing the neural conductivity in the visual pathway by using VEP. Previously, they were some research about the sports vision, but it is not thoroughly researched yet about the issue of visual perception in athletes (Hisaoishigaki & Miyao, 1993). Besides, the results of VEPs towards sport performance, also not consistent (Delpont, Dolisi, Suisse, Bodino, & Gastaud, 1991 M. N. Magnie et al., 1998 Ozkaya et al., 2003 Ozmerdivenli et al., 2005 Taddei, Viggiano, & Mecacci, 1991 N. G. Thomas, Harden, & Rogers, 2005). For the use of the VEP towards sports vision, there are several components that we can identify to rule out whether it affects visual performance or not. This review explores the components of VEPs that can rule out whether it affects visual performance and their advantages and disadvantages to make a guideline for proper sports performance in future. Furthermore, until now there has been little published evidence that shows the improving of performance of sports after the athletes being diagnosed by using VEP. In the absence of such studies, this review will identify the important functions of each type of VEP and their component that can be measured by using it towards athlete, with potential benefits for sport performance.
1.3 Objective of The Study
To review the use of VEP in sport vision research. The purpose of the study will be accomplished by fulfilling the following these objectives

i. To study the function of Visual Evoked Potential sports vision.
ii. To determine the components of Visual Evoked Potential that can be assessed in visual performance.
iii. To identified the advantages and disadvantages of the Visual Evoked Potential in assessing the visual performance.
