Disruption is all that we hear about nowadays, but with good reasons. From shared economy to industrialized crowdsourcing, with every blink of an eye, the world of business is changing. This is called the Idea Economy, here the lifecycle of idea-to-product has never been any shorter. Here, all the companies, doesn't matter if they are small or large, must possess the mindset of a visionary and should have the technological agility to turn the ideas into reality, rapidly, or risk becoming out-dated.
Dave Pearson, IDC Canada's Research Manager for Enterprise Storage & Networking says, "IT agility is the number one concern among Canadian executives" and "The inability for IT to react in a timely manner to business needs can prove devastating to the bottom line."
Now the question arises, how do you keep up and how do you suddenly set your IT team free to be as agile as the start-up companies are? To begin, the data structure must be built on the right infrastructure. Businesses of this century cannot afford to have computing, networking and storage operating separately, draining your resources and most importantly, your time, which is the necessity for your IT team for innovation and progress.
To compete at the speed of disruption, a data centre infrastructure architecture which increases workload development and application, to meet business needs is required.
